On September 23, the WorldSkills Shanghai 2026 Expo opened at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). Staged innovatively alongside the 48th WorldSkills Competition, the Expo serves as an exchange platform for countries, regions and enterprises, showcasing cutting-edge technologies, advanced manufacturing, time-honored craftsmanship and distinctive local delicacies.
Sachet-making, white peony root slicing, handcrafted water-pill preparation, intangible cultural heritage copper cupping... Step into the Anhui Pavilion of the WorldSkills Expo, and you will be instantly immersed in the ambience of traditional Chinese wellness. Every utensil and artifact carries heritage; every skill and technique embodies fine craftsmanship.
Centered on the professional skill theme of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Wellness, the Anhui Pavilion presents a showcase of Anhui’s achievements in skill inheritance, talent development and industrial advancement within the TCM wellness sector.
The Anhui exhibition zone adopts a visitor flow design of Craftsmanship – Experience – Industry. The skills area features demonstrations of white peony root slicing and water-pill making, representing the core processing and preparation techniques of traditional Chinese medicinal herbs in Anhui. The experience zone invites visitors to try their hand at making TCM sachets and experience heritage copper cupping and other wellness practices, bridging traditional craftsmanship with modern life. The industry zone displays commercial products developed by translating Anhui’s TCM wellness skills into real-world industry outputs.
