On September 20, the 2026 World Manufacturing Convention opened at Hefei Binhu International Convention and Exhibition Center. Bringing together cutting‑edge industrial manufacturing achievements, the convention focused on scientific and technological innovation breakthroughs and industrial transformation, showcasing a host of national landmark equipment and innovative products. Highlights of Anhui's Smart Manufacturing took centre stage, ranging from the vacuum chamber model of the Burning plasma Experimental Superconducting Tokamak (BEST), and the “Xuan‑paper Screen” that blends traditional culture with digital technology, to the rise of the complete‑chain new‑energy vehicle cluster and the agile interactive performance of humanoid robots. These exhibits vividly demonstrate the robust dynamism of smart manufacturing and the new landscape of industrial development.
Manufacturing underpins the real economy. It is the foundation for building and empowering a great nation. In recent years, Anhui’s manufacturing sector has undergone remarkable shifts in its standing, development quality and public profile. At the historical starting point of the 15th Five‑Year Plan period, guided by its mission of “Intelligent Manufacturing for a Better Future”, Anhui extends an invitation to the global manufacturing community: Smart Manufacturing across Jianghuai, Value Chains Linking the Globe, for a Shared Prosperous Future.
